When you order the Replacement treatment recommendation letter for an Emotional Support Animal (ESA), you must have ordered and completed a Psychological and Emotional Disability Assessment within the last 12 months. This letter will have the date your original letter was written and is not an updated treatment recommendation letter (which requires a new assessment). The letter is sent to you via priority mailed within 1-2 days of placing your order.

This treatment recommendation letter is written by a licensed Qualified Mental Health Professional and specifies the need to obtain or use a pet as an emotional support animal. For airline travel and qualification for "No-Pet" housing, a letter from a from a licensed Qualified Mental Health Professional, dated within the previous 12 months, is required by the Fair Housing Act and Air Carrier Access Act.
